Manipulated Photos
I chose the picture of the author of the children's book "Goodnight Moon". The original picture was of the author holding a cigarette in his hand and the manipulated picture took the cigarette out of his hand. I don't think the manipulation was harmful at all, I think this manipulation was actually good. It probably isn't a good idea to show any kind of images related to cigarettes or smoking. I thought the manipulation was a good choice on the publishers part.

Like Kelly, you point out that the manipulation was for the better and I agree. In this case the alteration is good. Nice blog!
ReplyDeleteYeah I agree this alteration was a positve one. Afterall he is a children's book author, and if a parent were to see a well published image of him in the media, holding a cigarette, that could hurt his image. Therefore, this alteration was a very beneficial one!
